Our first married Thanksgiving

This was our first married Thanksgiving. We went to West Point to Bo's Aunt and Uncle's house for lunch. Then we were back to Corinth for dinner at my parents house. We defiantly got our fair share of turkey and dressing in for the day. Thanks to Margaret we have a few picts from the Wilder/Butler Thanksgiving lunch.

Happy 30th MKB!!!!

November 21st was Bo's sister's 30th birthday. This past Saturday night we, along with some of her friends, threw her a birthday party. It was downtown in an empty building that used to be a Cigar Shop. It was a lot of fun and I think Mary Katherine really enjoyed it too! Janie Vanderford made her cake and did a WONDERFUL job. The invitation from the party had a 3 layered watercolored cake on it. The cake she made looked just like it!!! Sallie Kate and Katy did a wonderful job putting it all together. The decorations looked so good. Julia and Kasey did a great job on the food too! My college roommate Morgan and her boyfriend David were in town staying with Bo and I. They came to the pary too, I think they had a great time.

Jamaica MON!

For our honeymoon we went to Jamaica. We had so much fun!!!! We flew into Montego Bay and then a bus took us to Negril. We stayed at a Couple's Resort called Swept Away. It was so nice. The whole expereince was amazing. After the wedding we took the Limo to Memphis to spend the night. We flew out at 9:25 and landed in Montego Bay at 12:15. The bus ride took about an hour and a half but it wasn't bad because you got to see a lot of the island.

As soon as we got checked in and our luggage was delievered we headed straight to the swim up bar. It was great. The bartender's name was Derman, and he made drinks called Green Dermans. That was Bo's drink of choice a lot of the week.

The first day we arrived at the swim up bar

Our daily schedule mostly consisted of waking up having breakfast, going to the beach and laying out or floating in the ocean, eating lunch, back to the beach, head to the pool/swim up bar about 4, then shower and head to dinner. It was perfect.

There were 6 different restaurants on the resort. The two nicest were Feathers and Lemongrass. Feathers was gourmet. They had a dress code and you had to have reservations. We ate there on Monday night.

Us at Feathers

Lemongrass was a Thai restaurant. Much to my suprise I really liked it. It was also kind of dressy and required reservations. We got to sit outside on the deck. I really liked it.

The other two dinner restaraunts were more casual. One was called Patios' Patio and the other was The Palms. They were both open for lunch and breakfast too. We ate at Patios a lot. It was literally right out our back door. They had Pizzas, steaks, fish, salads, and chicken. They changed the menus daily. Patios is also the other language besides English that they speak in Jamaica. It is a mixture of broken English, Spanish, French, and African tribal. That is mostly what the Jamaican's used when speaking to each other.

Bo the last night at dinner at Patios

The Palms was good too. At breakfast and lunch they had a buffet. My favorite breakfast item was they would make your omelette's for you right in front of you. At dinner they had a full menu plus a pasta bar. I thought I had struck gold when I found this. They had spaghetti and it was so good. They cooked it there in front of you too.

This was our view from breakfast at the Palms

Us having dinner at the Palms

The also had two grills on the beach. One was a vegetarian grill so we didn't ever eat there. The other one had like hamburgers and stuff. We had lunch one day there.

Bo at the Grill

Margaritaville was just about 100 yards down the beach from our resort. We walked down there one afternoon. If was fun, but we got caught down there in a monsoon and had to stay longer than anticipated.

We were sad to leave, but anxious to get home and start a routine together. We had a blast and can not wait to go back!

The Wedding and Reception

The weather was perfect all day for the wedding. We started pictures at 2:00 pm. The wedding didn't start til six. A big thank you to the wedding party for all their patience. In my opinion everything turned out perfect and it was a perfect wedding. I only have a few snapshots taken by friends to put up now, but as I get more I will post more.

Meredith got a good picture of the chruch with the candles lit before anyone was in the sanctuary. It really was so pretty. Lisa and Kayo did a fabulous job!!!! It's hard to believe the chruch was full and people were standing down the walls.

MKB and Kate made these banners that hung outside the doors

At the entrance to Wildwood was a haybell with a B made of flowers. The torches that you can see lined the whole LONG driveway and around the reception sight as well.

The banners played double duty. They were brought out to the reception and were displayed with the brides cake. Joan Johnson made my cake. Didn't she do a wonderful job, SHE'S THE BEST. I am sad to say it was one of the last she will make in Corinth she has left us for Georgia. Lisa put the flowers on the cake to top if off to be perfect.

Joan also made the groom's cake as well. It was on a stump. Lisa also put the flowers on it. I loved it, it turned out perfect too. He also had duck decoys and shells on his grooms table.

The food table looked AMAZING as well. Lisa did it all as well. Below are some pictures of it. Didn't she do a great job???

They borrowed this from the after party the night before. Isn't it cute!!!!

There were two bars at the wedding. This was one of them, the one closest to the dance floor. The other one was under the tent with the cakes. Freddy again was there. It wouldn't have been right without him.

This is not our "official first dance". I don't think we have any picts of that back yet. But, it is the best one of us dancing I could find. Bo is a HUGE Chris LeDoux fan, and over the last 4 years I too have come to love him. We don't have an official serious "song", so we opted to dance to Chris LeDoux "Two in a Million". It really was a perfect song!!! When all of our family's starting dancing it was to "Tupelo Honey" another song I really love!!

The rest of the pictures below are just some fun one's of different things at the reception. As I get some more pictures I will post them. Thank everyone who was in the wedding, helped with the wedding, and attended the wedding all of you made it perfect and a blast!!!!!!!!

Our first attempt at leaving

I think our limo driver was on drugs. Anyway he was extremly late so we tried to leave on the golf cart, and Bo's uncle almost threw us off.

Our limo FINALLY got there and we were off to Jamaica
